The Senior Vice President OF HUMAN RESOURCES will contribute to the organization’s success by establishing and driving the HUMAN RESOURCES functions of this Midwest U.S. based Fortune 500 organization consisting of approximately 5,000 employees worldwide. This executive will develop and oversee the implementation of key strategic HUMAN RESOURCES programs to align with organizational needs and ensure achievement of business goals. Partnering with Executive Management, this experienced professional  will be responsible for short and long range HR planning to include  talent management, organizational development/assessment, staffing,  labor and employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance  planning, succession management, sales compensation, and corporate  services and operations.</span><span style="color: #000000;">MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">•Broad based HUMAN resource executive with strategic insight and demonstrated expertise leading a HUMAN resource organization across the HR disciplines of an entrepreneurial public company.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">•Proactive and capable OF suggesting new alternatives to current HUMAN resource practices, anticipating and developing both strategic and impactful HUMAN resource plans and programs.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">•Successful candidate must have unquestioned integrity and  experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address senior  executive level up to and including the Board of Directors.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">•Individual should have the ability to go from the field level to the executive office.  The key to this person’s success will be their flexibility and their  ability to adapt to change, and work effectively in a fluid, highly  competitive organization.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Required Experience and Education:</span></p>

•Bachelor’s degree required, advance degree desirable<br />

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS</p>
<p>Position Title: 		Director of Operations<br />
Location:			Mid-West<br />
Reporting to:			Vice President of Operations</p>
<p>Company Overview:</p>
<p>By way of background, our client is a world leader in their markets  with revenues in excess of $15 billion. Our client manufactures,  packages and markets consumer non-durables through locations across the  globe and is highly regarded in its industry.</p>
<p>The Operations Director role is considered a “high profile” role with  responsibility for providing leadership, developing, organizing,  managing and controlling all aspects of the a key portion of the  operation. The site is currently driving toward Manufacturing Excellence  and this role will be pivotal in ensuring the acceleration of the  Company’s performance toward Best in Class.</p>
<p>Position Responsibilities:</p>
<p>The Director of Operations will provide leadership to an organization  of approximately 150 people through 9 direct reports including 4 Team  Shift Leaders, 3 Business Line Owners, a Training Associate and an  Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations,  this new Director will work in partnership with the Director of  Operations, Processing and New Operations to maximize the site  performance of this 24/7 operation.</p>
<p>Management:<br />
This new Director will make strategic decisions and recommendations  regarding supply processes and systems to drive safety, service, cost,  and efficiency improvements. He/she will ensure effective control and  decision making within his/her span of control.</p>
<p>Financial Responsibility:<br />
The Director of Operations will be responsible for all aspects of budget control.</p>
<p>Complexity:<br />
Interacting with all plant functions, having a firm understanding of  Finance, Human Resources and Corporate groups such as Procurement,  Network Supply, Brand Change and Central Engineering will be expected.</p>
<p>Deliverables:<br />
• High level of leadership and the ability to influence key stakeholders.<br />
• Establish and effectively manage departmental budgets and objectives.<br />
• Assist in the development of personal business objectives and performance standards for all employees in the department.<br />
• Work with Central Planning to maintain optimum finished case goods inventory levels.<br />
• Maintain up to date packaging material volume and timing objectives.<br />
• Ensure proper people, processes, and procedures are in place and work  to ensure good customer service with minimal out of stocks.<br />
• Maintain approved processes and procedures, and oversee the timely and  cost effective implementation of all new product introductions, package  changes, special projects, line extensions, etc.<br />
• Carry out all management responsibilities in accordance with the  Company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring  training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising  performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.<br />
• Address complaints, and resolving problems.<br />
• Responsible for departmental programs such as Food Safety, Employee Safety, TTB Compliance, and Environmental Compliance.<br />
• Perform other duties as required.<br />
• Serve as the Deputy for the Vice President of Operations and Director of Operations existing business as required.</p>
<p>Candidate Qualifications:<br />
• Undergraduate degree. MBA or graduate degree will be considered a plus.<br />
• 10+ years experience in/with world class production facilities, preferably within consumer products environments.<br />
• Strong manufacturing experience including experience with packaging operations<br />
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br />
• Strong Leadership and experience managing direct reports.<br />
• Advanced practitioner of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen.<br />
• Experience in a manufacturing union environment is an asset.</p>

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS</p>
<p>Position Title: 		Director of Operations<br />
Location:			Mid-West<br />
Reporting to:			Vice President of Operations</p>
<p>Company Overview:</p>
<p>By way of background, our client is a world leader in their markets with revenues in excess of $15 billion. Our client manufactures, packages and markets consumer non-durables through locations across the globe and is highly regarded in its industry.</p>
<p>The Operations Director role is considered a “high profile” role with responsibility for providing leadership, developing, organizing, managing and controlling all aspects of the a key portion of the operation. The site is currently driving toward Manufacturing Excellence and this role will be pivotal in ensuring the acceleration of the Company’s performance toward Best in Class.</p>
<p>Position Responsibilities:</p>
<p>The Director of Operations will provide leadership to an organization of approximately 150 people through 9 direct reports including 4 Team Shift Leaders, 3 Business Line Owners, a Training Associate and an Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this new Director will work in partnership with the Director of Operations, Processing and New Operations to maximize the site performance of this 24/7 operation.</p>
<p>Management:<br />
This new Director will make strategic decisions and recommendations regarding supply processes and systems to drive safety, service, cost, and efficiency improvements. He/she will ensure effective control and decision making within his/her span of control.</p>
<p>Financial Responsibility:<br />
The Director of Operations will be responsible for all aspects of budget control.</p>
<p>Complexity:<br />
Interacting with all plant functions, having a firm understanding of Finance, Human Resources and Corporate groups such as Procurement, Network Supply, Brand Change and Central Engineering will be expected.</p>
<p>Deliverables:<br />
• High level of leadership and the ability to influence key stakeholders.<br />
• Establish and effectively manage departmental budgets and objectives.<br />
• Assist in the development of personal business objectives and performance standards for all employees in the department.<br />
• Work with Central Planning to maintain optimum finished case goods inventory levels.<br />
• Maintain up to date packaging material volume and timing objectives.<br />
• Ensure proper people, processes, and procedures are in place and work to ensure good customer service with minimal out of stocks.<br />
• Maintain approved processes and procedures, and oversee the timely and cost effective implementation of all new product introductions, package changes, special projects, line extensions, etc.<br />
• Carry out all management responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.<br />
• Address complaints, and resolving problems.<br />
• Responsible for departmental programs such as Food Safety, Employee Safety, TTB Compliance, and Environmental Compliance.<br />
• Perform other duties as required.<br />
• Serve as the Deputy for the Vice President of Operations and Director of Operations existing business as required.</p>
<p>Candidate Qualifications:<br />
• Undergraduate degree. MBA or graduate degree will be considered a plus.<br />
• 10+ years experience in/with world class production facilities, preferably within consumer products environments.<br />
• Strong manufacturing experience including experience with packaging operations<br />
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br />
• Strong Leadership and experience managing direct reports.<br />
• Advanced practitioner of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen.<br />
• Experience in a manufacturing union environment is an asset.</p>

Hiring managers and executive recruiters for six figure jobs are likely to have read up on body language and will be judging yours. Knowing the psychology behind body language yourself can also help you gauge your six figure job interviewer´s reactions and help you control the interview or at least give you an idea of what you will really be up against when it comes to starting work.</p>
<p>Wild gestures may show passion, however they can also be considered a sign that you are out of control and are unpredictable. Are these qualities this employer is looking for this six figure job? Hand gestures are OK, just try to keep them within the frame of your body. In the reverse if you are interviewing with an up level executive or CEO and they are getting pretty wild with their hand gestures does this mean they are big risk takers? What does that mean for the longevity of this six figure job?</p>
<p>Folding your hands or just keeping them in your lap can be seen as the opposite &#8211; too reserved. Regardless of the six figure job you are applying for, confidence is a good thing. However, do not be too timid.</p>
<p>One of the most common job career advice lines must be to sit up straight. Yes, this does show interest in the position and professionalism. However, it can also be read as being too rigid and timid as well. Think about the six figure job you are applying for and the qualities this employer is looking for. If you are applying to be a secretary, appearing to be a meek and following the rules rigidly is commendable. However if you are applying to become director of operations or for sales executive jobs or marketing executive positions, employers are probably looking for someone with a little more confidence and creativity. Again in the reverse, if your interviewer for this six figure job is sitting upright or forward they are probably interested in you and what you are saying.</p>
<p>In contrast, leaning back is said to signify disinterested. Watch out for your six figure job interviewer showing any signs like this and tweak your answers or questions appropriately. However you can use this to your advantage, especially when it comes to salary negotiations. If they initial numbers are too low, make it look like you have lost interest, sit up when they fumble to add on more to the benefits they offer.</p>
